Southampton will look to put their recent troubles behind them when they take on Millwall on the opening day of the League One season.
After falling into administration and subsequently being relegated, the Saints are hoping to bounce back with a new owner and a new manager.
Summer signings Graeme Murty and Dan Harding are both set to make debuts for the hosts as Alan Pardew takes charge of his first competitive game at St Mary's.
Pardew also hoped to include Radhi Jaidi in his squad, but the former Birmingham player's move to Southampton could be in doubt after work permit problems.
Young striker Kayne McLaggon is ruled out as he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles, leaving Pardew short of options in attack following the departures of David McGoldrick, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Jason Euell and Stern John.
Millwall team news
Conversely, Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has a defensive crisis to contend with ahead of the League One curtain-raiser.
The Londoners will be hoping to erase the memory of last season's play-off heartbreak, but they will be hampered by the absence of defenders Danny Senda (Achilles) and Paul Robinson (foot).
Highly-rated centre-back Zak Whitbread, who has been linked with Peterborough, is doubtful due to a hip injury, with Tony Craig (back) and Andy Frampton (ankle) also unlikely to feature.
However, new signings Steve Morison, John Sullivan and Jason Price are all in contention for starting places after joining the club on permanent deals.
