Alfie Mawson's 85th-minute header secured Wycombe a 2-2 draw at League Two promotion rivals Southend on Saturday.Mawson nodded in Hogan Ephraim's right wing cross to pick up a point for Gareth Ainsworth's side who were forced to dig in against the Shrimpers. Southend, who went up to fourth with the point, went in front after just 14 minutes when Barry Corr headed home after Joe Pigott's effort had been saved by Matt Ingram. But Wycombe equalised in the 28th minute when Steven Craig diverted a scuffed Sam Wood volley into the back of the net from close range. Southend striker Joe Pigott wasted a great chance to put the Shrimpers in front before Corr put them ahead when he prodded home a low, left wing cross from Ryan Leonard for his 11th goal of the season. However, Wycombe replied five minutes from time to secure a share of the spoils when Mawson headed home from six yards. The draw keeps Wycombe five points clear of the Shrimpers.
