Stockport v Stevenage preview

Team news for Saturday afternoon's League Two clash between Stockport and Stevenage at Edgeley Park.

Stockport caretaker boss Ray Mathias will choose from the same squad. Skipper Danny Swailes is nearing full fitness after five months out with a knee injury and could be back before the end of the season. Mathias has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as his men bid to keep their slender survival hopes alive. Stockport sit five points behind third-from-bottom Burton in League Two with just six games remaining and face a huge task to avoid dropping out of the Football League. Yet Mathias is refusing to throw in the towel just yet and says his side will continue fighting until survival becomes mathematically impossible. He said: "I'll never stop believing until it's the last kick on the last day at the end of the season." Stevenage manager Graham Westley will also have a full squad to choose from. Full-back Scott Laird returned to the starting line-up against Bradford last weekend and is set to keep his place after completing 90 minutes in the 2-1 victory at Broadhall Way. Indeed, Westley could field an unchanged XI as Boro target the seventh consecutive win of a run which has taken them to fifth place and within three points of the automatic promotion places. Stevenage have scored six goals without reply in their previous two outings on the road at Burton and Macclesfield, and four of the victories in their recent hot streak have come away from home.
