Swindon v Crewe preview

Swindon entertain Crewe in a crucial encounter at the bottom of League One.

Tudor-Jones back for Robins while Lawrence could start for Crewe

Swindon entertain Crewe in a crucial encounter at the bottom of League One as both sides look to avoid the drop. The Robins find themselves just two points above the bottom four, a point ahead of their opponents who sit directly above the relegation zone. Danny Wilson's men will want to recover from their defeat to fellow strugglers Yeovil last week as they bid to make it four wins out of five games. Meanwhile Crewe's poor form, no wins in four games, appears surprising particularly after it comes off the back of an impressive run of results that saw them win six out of eight matches.

Robins team news

Wilson has received mixed injury news ahead of the clash. Defender Sean Morrison is unlikely to make it despite news that the knee injury inflicted by Terrell Forbes' late challenge during last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Yeovil is not as bad as first feared. Winger Hal Robson-Kanu was also forced off early on in the defeat at Huish Park with a hamstring problem, but the Robins are hopeful he will be in contention to feature. Left-back Jamie Vincent could also be in the frame having been out for some time with a thigh problem, although Wilson will be reluctant to risk him with the club's hectic schedule adding to his injury woes on his return last time out. On-loan midfielder Owain Tudur-Jones does make a comeback, however, after his international duties with Wales. Craig Easton (calf) may feature at some stage but fellow midfielders Patrick Kanyuka (groin) and Jon-Paul McGovern (calf) are expected to remain sidelined.
Crewe team news
Crewe boss Gudjon Thordarson will include Dennis Lawrence in his starting line-up if the influential defender returns from international duty unscathed. Lawrence, on loan from Swansea, has been with the Trinidad and Tobago squad for their World Cup qualifying games against Honduras and USA. He will not return to England until Friday, when he will be assessed by Crewe's medical staff ahead of the trip to Wiltshire. "We will need to look at him and see how he feels because he has played two 90-minute matches and has had a lot of travelling," said Thordarson. "But he is an important man for us and if he is fit and healthy then he will play." Winger Byron Moore is a doubt after he was forced off with a thigh injury against Millwall, while fellow midfielder Mark Carrington is definitely out after picking up a groin problem in the same game. Youngster Ashley Westwood is set to be included in the squad again and striker Calvin Zola comes back into the reckoning after a hamstring injury.
