Robins face late checks, Kisnorbo missing for Foxes

Managerless Swindon are sweating on the fitness of several players, while Leicester could be unchanged. Swindon parted company with Maurice Malpas on Friday morning and assistant boss David Byrne has taken over on a temporary basis. The Robins suffered a humiliating 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Histon last Saturday before crashing out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy to Brighton on Wednesday. Defender Hasney Aljofree (ankle) and striker Lee Peacock (back) are both racing to be fit after missing the clash at the Withdean Stadium in midweek, while midfielder Craig Easton (calf) and defender Michael Timlin (groin) picked up injuries in the encounter and are being assessed. Phil Smith should continue in goal after shaking off a problem picked up last weekend but defender Jamie Vincent is still a long-term absentee with a knee problem. Mark Marshall, Barry Corr and Sean Morrison all started against the Seagulls and will again be looking to start, as will Anthony McNamee and Billy Paynter who dropped to the bench. Striker Simon Cox will play his last game before serving a one-match ban for collecting five yellow cards.

Leicester news

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is expected to keep faith with the same side that beat Stevenage in the FA Cup last Saturday. Pearson will be without defender Patrick Kisnorbo after he was ruled out with a knee injury. On-loan Arsenal defender Kerrea Gilbert is in contention after suffering from illness over recent weeks but will most likely have to settle for a place on the bench after Marc Edworthy impressed in his first two games after signing last week. Long-term absentees Stephen Clemence, Bruno N'Gotty (both Achilles) and James Wesolowski (ankle) are all still a long way from returning. Leicester will be looking to extend their lead at the top of League One after their 1-0 win over Yeovil in midweek, their third straight win in all competitions.
