Image: Douglas: Could face the Owls

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Swindon and Sheffield Wednesday at the County Ground.

Skipper Jonathan Douglas is Swindon's only injury concern ahead of the visit of Wednesday. The midfielder is making solid progress in his recovery from the groin injury he sustained during last Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Notts County, and manager Danny Wilson is hopeful he will be in contention to face the Owls. Douglas missed the club's 1-1 FA Cup draw at Crawley a week ago - a game which saw the return of Town striker Vincent Pericard (groin), goalkeeper David Lucas (shoulder) and defender Kevin Amankwaah (knee) from their respective injuries. Loanee David Ball comes back into the equation having been ineligible for the cup encounter. The game sees boss Wilson come up against the Yorkshire club he both played for and managed, reaching three domestic cup finals in the early 1990s as a player, while assistant manager Peter Shirtliff, goalkeeper Lucas and midfielder Jon-Paul McGovern have also enjoyed memorable times with Wednesday in their careers. Sheffield Wednesday striker Neil Mellor is doubtful for the clash. Mellor is struggling with an ankle problem that forced him out of the action during the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Carlisle and faces a late fitness test. Paul Heffernan will be vying with Jermaine Johnson for a place up front alongside Clinton Morrison if Mellor fails to make it. Owls boss Alan Irvine could also be without defenders Lewis Buxton and Jon Otsemobor again. Buxton has been sidelined for three games with a hamstring problem and Otsemobor has missed the last five matches due to a calf strain. Irvine has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side chase a fourth successive league win.
