Robins hope to move out of the relegation zone
Swindon could move out of the League One relegation zone with victory over Southend on Tuesday but the visitors have their eyes on the play-offs.
Robins manager Danny Wilson will not be boosted by the return of any of his injured players ahead of what he has described as a "massive" game.
Midfielders Craig Easton (calf), Patrick Kanyuka (groin), Yinka Casal (knee) and Jon-Paul McGovern (leg) are all sidelined while Lee Peacock has been ruled out for the rest of the season with his back problem.
Phil Smith is expected to continue in goal having impressed on his return to Wilson's starting XI against Leeds on Saturday, with Peter Brezovan relegated to the bench.
Following the 1-0 defeat at Elland Road, Wilson claimed some of his players lack the desire necessary to help Swindon avoid the drop and he may be tempted to freshen things up.
Southend team news
Southend manager Steve Tilson could again call upon goalkeeper Ian Joyce for the trip.
Joyce deputised for the injured Steve Mildenhall (knee) in last week's victories over Brighton and Hereford and would again fill the void should the former Swindon man fail to be fit in time.
Alan McCormack was due to return from a groin injury at Hereford but pulled out just hours before kick-off so will be assessed again.
Damian Scannell is likely to retain his place in the squad after impressing off the bench on Saturday, while long-term absentees Dougie Freedman (thigh) and Alex Revell (leg) remain sidelined.
