Rochdale will be boosted by the return from suspension of midfielder Jason Taylor as they look to secure promotion at Torquay.
Taylor, sent off in the recent win at Accrington, has completed a three-game ban but may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Dale, who could secure their first promotion since 1969 with victory if other results go their way, have no new injury or suspension problems.
Central defender Craig Dawson is available again but manager Keith Hill is unlikely to split up his back four, while midfielder Joe Thompson is also hoping to feature.
Chris O'Grady and Chris Dagnall will resume their 40-goal partnership up front as Dale look to get back to winning ways after defeat at Chesterfield on Saturday and Monday's home draw with promotion rivals Bournemouth.
Torquay's sole injury doubt is winger Wayne Carlisle, who has been ruled out since last month's 1-1 home draw against Crewe with a knee injury.
Following a minor operation, Carlisle is back in training, although this Saturday's game may come too early for the experienced midfielder.
In Carlisle's absence Gulls boss Paul Buckle has recalled Mustapha Carayol to the starting XI.
The 20-year-old Gambian-born winger has been in impressive form on his recall, after spending the early part of the season out on loan at Kettering.
With six games remaining United are seven points clear of second-bottom Grimsby with a far superior goal difference.
