Tranmere v Colchester preview

Tranmere will have midfielder Jay Harris available again following a three-game suspension for the Sky Bet League Two match against Colchester.

Defender Adam Buxton continued his return following a double hernia by completing 75 minutes of the midweek Checkatrade Trophy tie with Crewe so could be in contention for another run-out.

Forward Franklyn Akammadu could make his debut following international clearance on his loan move from Italian side US Alessandria. Defenders Ritchie Sutton (leg) and Evan Gumbs (knee) remain long-term absentees.

Colchester boss John McGreal has several selection concerns ahead of a return to his old club. Winger Brennan Dickenson is carrying a back injury, which forced him out of last weekend's 3-1 win at Cheltenham.

Midfielder Tom Lapslie is likely to sidelined for around six weeks following an operation on his knee problem. Brandon Comley is away on international duty with Montserrat, so Diaz Wright, striker Mikael Mandron and Aaron Collins, on loan from Wolves, will all be hoping to feature.
