Tranmere could be without Sky Bet League Two top scorer James Norwood for Friday's showdown with promotion rivals Forest Green.
Norwood has scored 27 goals this season but is nursing a groin injury, while a hamstring problem picked up against MK Dons will definitely keep midfielder David Perkins out. Those fresh concerns add to the absence of Luke McCullough, who will not play again this season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
Experienced forward Ishmael Miller returned to training earlier this month having been sidelined since January but is yet to make his first-team comeback.
Victory for Tranmere would guarantee them a place in the play-offs and boost their push for one of three automatic promotion spots, while Forest Green are out to close the four-point gap to their hosts and enhance their own chances of playing in League One next season.
Mark Cooper reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Merseyside. Paul Digby did not feature in the matchday squad for the 2-0 win against Macclesfield at the weekend after complaining of a sore ankle. The midfielder could be in line for a return to the fold at Prenton Park.
Tranmere have never previously hosted Forest Green Rovers in a Football League match.
Forest Green won the reverse fixture 3-1, their only previous Football League encounter with Tranmere.
Tranmere have won nine of their last 12 league games and have won more home matches in League Two this season than any other side (14).
Forest Green have won three consecutive away league games, they've never won four in a row in the Football League.
Tranmere's James Norwood has scored at least seven more goals than any other League Two player this season (27). Meanwhile, Forest Green's Reece Brown is the only player to register double figures for both goals (10) and assists (12) in League Two.
