It's top versus bottom when Inter Milan travel to play Werder Bremen in the UEFA Champions League Group B clash. Inter have already qualified for the next phase of the competition but know that a win would guarantee them top spot. Werder on the other hand know that three points could bring them Uefa Cup football but only if Panathinaikos get at least a draw against Famagusta in the group's other match. Bremen boss Thomas Schaaf told Uefa's official website: "We definitely want to win, but considering the season we've had, the response of the team is much more important. "I want each and every player to show they have the will to turn our season around. We are in a very tough position at the moment and we all know Inter are an excellent side. "Beating them would perhaps give us confidence for the challenges ahead." If the Germans are to win they will have to do so without their talismanic Brazilian Diego. The midfielder is suspended after picking up three yellow cards in the competition. Mesut Ozil will replace him. Striker Hugo Almeida is also out with a bad back while defender Naldo (toe) and midfielder Frank Baumann (calf) are doubtful. Schaaf could be boosted by the fact that midfielder Daniel Jensen has returned to training following a two month absence.

Inter Team News

Inter manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that goalkeeper Julio Cesar, captain Javier Zanetti, defenders Nicolas Burdisso and Marco Materazzi, midfielder Esteban Cambiasso and striker Adriano will all start. Zanetti is set to equal Inter legend Giuseppe Bergomi's European appearance record of 117 in Bremen. The Inter boss also confirmed that youngsters Davide Santon and Mario Balotelli will feature at some stage, with Santon looking to make his full debut. "For me it's a motive of pride to find the motivation to finish the group with victory," Mourinho said in his press conference. "I have great respect for Werder, I'm sure we will see the real Inter because we will face a strong opponent. We will the right pressure and we will give the right replies."
