Walsall v Exeter preview

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League One clash between Walsall and Exeter City at the Banks's Stadium.

Walsall manager Dean Smith has a full contingent of players available. The Saddlers slumped to a sixth league defeat of the season at Tranmere on Saturday, Mustafa Tiryaki earning the Rovers a last-gasp 2-1 victory. Striker Jon Macken returned to action as a second-half substitute following a hamstring injury, and may be called upon to lead the frontline against Paul Tisdale's Grecians. Left-back Mat Sadler is ready to bounce back from the defeat with a positive result against 23rd-placed Exeter. He told the club's official website: "We are very disappointed that we came away with nothing to show for our efforts. "Exeter is a big game. Everyone is closely bunched in the bottom half of the table, so it is important that we get a win and kick on from there." Exeter are likely to be again without defender Richard Duffy. The Wales international is still recovering from an ankle injury which ruled him out of the Grecians' vital win over Rochdale. Spanish striker Guillem Bauza was withdrawn at half-time against Dale as he had tweaked a hamstring, and may start from the bench. Fellow striker Daniel Nardiello, however, scored two in the win, and is confident Exeter can continue to improve, starting against Walsall. "We have to go to Walsall and push for another three points," Nardiello told the Western Morning News. "We go into every game believing we can win, and our attitude and belief hasn't dropped at all."
