Hartlepool come from two goals down to beat Walsall

Hartlepool came from two down to beat Walsall 3-2 with a thrilling second-half performance. The game looked all over when Walsall sailed into a two-goal lead in 13 minutes, Michael Ricketts heading his fifth of the season from Chris Palmer's corner and Jabo Ibehre heading a second from Troy Deeney's cross. And when Kevin Kyle missed the target with a simple header from Joel Porter's cross after 28 minutes, the visitors looked certain to extend their run without a win to six matches. Some Hartlepool fans chanted "you don't know what you're doing" when manager Danny Wilson sent on two subs, Matty Robson and David Foley, but he proved them wrong. They were back in the match with a 72nd-minute goal from Antony Sweeney and four minutes later Robson rifled in a spectacular equaliser from 25 yards. Walsall suddenly could not cope with the visitors and it was no surprise when, with six minutes left, James Brown headed the winner from Sweeney's cross.
