Walsall will stick with Rene Gilmartin in goal against Swindon Town, who could be missing Barry Corr.
Regular No.1 Clayton Ince has been ruled out for between 10 days to three weeks with a groin tear and Gilmartin is looking to stake his claim for a regular starting berth by impressing against the Robins.
Austrian goalkeeper Albin Kajtezovic, who was signed on a short-term contract on Thursday, will take his place on the bench subject to international clearance.
Midfielder Dwayne Mattis (back) left the pitch after 22 minutes of the last-gasp midweek defeat to Oldham and will be assessed before kick-off.
Striker Jabo Ibehre (knee) and defender Stephen Roberts (groin) are edging ever closer to first-team returns and will both undergo fitness tests prior to the clash at the Banks's Stadium.
Robins striker Corr is rated 50/50 for the game after missing the midweek draw with Peterborough due to a calf injury.
Caretaker manager David Byrne will be able to call on Craig Easton, who had been struggling with a calf problem of his own, while Lee Peacock is now fully fit again following a minor back injury.
Town have no other new injury worries, although long-term absentee Jamie Vincent remains sidelined.
The experienced defender has yet to feature for the Robins this season and will see a specialist on Friday in an attempt to resolve his long-standing knee problem.
