Journey to Fulham awaits winners of FA Cup replay

Wigan and Bolton lock horns in an FA Cup replay for the right to face Fulham in the fifth round. The sides played out an uninspiring goalless draw at the Reebok Stadium in the original tie at the end of January and the Latics now have home advantage for Wednesday's clash. Roberto Martinez's side have been in decent form since last facing Bolton, taking five points from three Premier League games. Avoiding relegation to the Championship remains the main focus but Wigan will want to go into league fixtures against the two Manchester clubs with as much confidence as possible. And by the time they face Manchester United on 26th February they would love to be in the FA Cup quarter-finals, with Fulham awaiting the winners of this clash at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Bolton have picked up two wins and a defeat in their last three games to get back on track following a poor run of form at the start of 2011. They are not involved in the scrap for survival and, with European qualification difficult to achieve through the league, Owen Coyle would like to progress as far as possible in the cup.

    Team news

Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce will miss the clash with a hamstring injury which is likely to sideline him for a fortnight. Manager Martinez is set to make a number of changes from the side which drew 1-1 at Liverpool on Saturday. January signing Conor Sammon is ineligible as he was not available for selection for the first clash between the two sides. Bolton will be without defender Zat Knight and in-form striker Daniel Sturridge at the DW Stadium. Knight is expected to miss the next four to six weeks after damaging ligaments in his right knee in Sunday's 2-0 win over Everton while Sturridge, who has scored three goals in three games since arriving on loan from Chelsea, is cup-tied. David Wheater will come in for Knight while Coyle could make several other changes to freshen up his side.
