Wigan will be without Cedric Kipre for Monday's derby with Preston after his early red card in the surprise 2-1 win at Leeds on Friday.

Kipre was sent off after just 14 minutes, but Gavin Massey's double saw Wigan come from behind to win. The defender had replaced the injured Danny Fox in the side, and Fox remains a doubt with a knee injury.

Michael Jacobs (hamstring) and Anthony Pilkington (groin) are expected to miss out once again.

Preston's injury woes show no sign of abating, with eight senior players on the sidelines. Tom Clarke, Alan Browne, Josh Harrop, Andrew Hughes, Brandon Barker, Tom Barkhuizen, and Billy Bodin all missed Friday's 4-0 win over relegated Ipswich with injury troubles, and will sit out again.

Captain Paul Gallagher shrugged off a shin injury in order to play on Friday and completed 70 minutes. Ben Pearson will complete his three-match ban.
