Wycombe will be without winger Myles Weston for their Sky Bet EFL Cup game against Bristol City.
The 28-year-old was forced off through injury on his Wanderers debut against Crawley on Saturday and a return date has not yet been set.
Luke O'Nien and Michael Harriman face late fitness tests after both were substituted with impact injuries against the Reds and manager Gareth Ainsworth is expected to make a number of changes.
Paul Hayes remains sidelined through injury.
City's preparations have been hit by the news that Zak Vyner will be out of action for six weeks after snapping an ankle ligament.
The young defender sustained the injury in City's 1-0 win at Bath City in pre-season.
In more positive news, goalkeeper Frank Fielding has resumed full training having been out of action since January.
Fielding, also sidelined by an ankle problem, has been gradually building up strength in the joint over the summer and is inching closer to a first-team return.
