Joe Martin netted the only goal of the game to maintain Gillingham's 100 per-cent record at Wycombe's expense on Tuesday.
Martin tucked away the rebound after Myles Weston's 30-yard free-kick struck the post with Wycombe keeper Nikki Bull stranded. Gillingham were reduced to 10 men late on, Tom Flanagan receiving a second yellow, but the visitors held on. Weston proved a constant threat, and after 19 minutes he burst past two challenges down the right and struck a powerful effort which Bull parried behind. Gillingham were the better side after the restart, with Chris Whelpdale and Weston threatening after Martin had given the visitors the lead. Flanagan was red-carded after pulling Richard Logan down, having been booked for a challenge on Wood in the first-half, but Martin Allen's men secured the points.
