Yeovil looked to have the edge but the hard-working Leyton Orient defence held firm in a goalless draw.

Yeovil looked to have the edge in a game between two sides in the bottom four, but although they created the better chances the hard-working Leyton Orient defence held firm in a goalless draw. Town should have taken the lead after 42 minutes when Craig Alcock and Scott Rendell combined to set up Gary Roberts, but the Yeovil midfielder, just six yards out, saw his shot blocked by goalkeeper Glenn Morris. Yeovil had more good chances in the second half and in the 73rd minute a deflection for a corner might have robbed Andy Welsh of a goal. Defender Gareth Owen hit the top of the crossbar following a Welsh free-kick six minutes from time. Orient, who had scored only nine goals in their 12 matches, introduced new signing Sam Parkin, but like his colleagues, he failed to seriously test Yeovil goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
