Haotong Li defeats Alex Noren in Hero Challenge final in Dubai

Relive the final of the Hero Challenge in Dubai, as Alex Noren faced Haotong Li under floodlights.

Haotong Li found the centre target twice on his way to beating Alex Noren in a high-scoring final at the third and final Hero Challenge event of the season in Dubai.

Eight players took part in the head-to-head target golf challenge towards a floating green off the Nasimi Beach Club, with higher scores given to those getting their efforts closest to the flag.

A maximum of 25 points were given for balls finishing the inner circle near the pin, with 10 points awarded for efforts in the outer circle and five points for any other shot staying on the green.

Seventh seed Li defeat Jon Rahm and Thomas Pieters on his way to the final, where he found the yellow centre-circle with his first two visits on his way to a 55-45 victory.

"It was great," Li said. "It was such a great event against good players and I really enjoyed it. I wish on Sunday that I can play with Alex (Noren) again!"

The first round saw players given a minute to fire 10 balls at the floating target, with Ian Poulter - playing in flip-flops - finding the green with his last two shots to defeat Tommy Fleetwood 45-40.

Alex Noren only missed the green once with his 10 attempts and found the inner circle twice on his way to a 105-45 victory over Francesco Molinari, as Li triumphed 60-45 over Rahm to progress.

Pieters needed a nearest-the-pin challenge to despatch Rafa Cabrera Bello after their contest ended all-square, before the semi-finals saw players play alternate shot in a three-ball shoot-out.

Noren found the green with all three visits to give himself an unassailable lead over Poulter on his way 40-10 win, while Li progressed with a ball to spare in his 30-15 victory over Pieters.

The final saw Li move ahead with an opening-ball maximum, with the pair exchanging 25s with their next visits before Noren was unable to find the inner circle again to extend the contest.
