The ground dried up considerably in the days leading up to the card with the going being changed to good to firm after the fifth race.
However, following a Turf Club investigation into the deaths, clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer was absolved from any blame.
The Turf Club ruled that watering had not been necessary in the lead up to the meeting due to the condition of the ground and while the going dried on the day, no complaints were received.
The authority also pointed out that unpenalised withdrawals were allowed on the day and no trainer or jockey attributed the fatalities to the state of the ground.
