The bike Sir Bradley Wiggins will use for his UCI Hour Record attempt on Sunday has been unveiled by co-engineers Pinarello and Jaguar.
The Jaguar Pinarello Bolide HR is an optimised version of the Bolide model Wiggins used to win the world time trial championship last year.
It has an aerodynamic performance increase of 7.5 per cent thanks mainly to a “revolutionary” one-piece titanium handlebar.

Laser Sintering Technology has been used to create a re-shaped handlebar boasting an innovative arm rest area to reduce air pressure and drag.
The bike also has a narrower forks and chainstays that sit closer to the wheels and improve airflow, while other aerodynamic enhancements include a re-shaped chain ring and wheel hubs.

The Bolide HR has been developed using the same Computational Fluid Dynamics design methods used on the Jaguar XE car.
Wiggins said: "The Bolide HR is the most aerodynamically efficient track bike I've ever ridden."

Watch Wiggins' attempt to break the UCI Hour Record exclusively live from 6pm on Sunday on Sky Sports 2 HD, Freeview channel PICK or via free live streams on www.skysports.com, Sky Sports' apps and the Sky Sports YouTube channel. The attempt will start at 6.30pm.
