Max Litchfield has been included in GB's swimming squad for the European Championships in Glasgow this summer.
It's a huge boost for the 23-year-old Sky Sports Scholar from Sheffield after missing out on the Commonwealth Games because of a niggling shoulder injury.
Litchfield said: "I'm very excited to be selected for my third Europeans. Obviously this year I have been hindered with injury so to have the chance to get back on the world stage and show what I'm capable of is a huge honour.
"I'm now looking forward to the next block of training and making sure I am in the best shape for August.
"It's been a tough year but the best is still to come."
The Sheffield swimmer is part of a 43-strong Great Britain squad who will compete at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow from August 3-9.
He made his European Championships debut in Berlin in 2014 where he finished seventh in the final of the 400m individual medley .
Chris Spice, GB's national performance director, said: "It's a great opportunity for the likes of Max Litchfield, who missed the trip to Australia for the Commonwealths with injury, to get back in the international arena.
"We are looking at this as a great opportunity to compete on a huge stage, and is an important part of our planning towards Tokyo 2020.
"As this is a home meet it is a great opportunity for our young talent to experience international competition which is why we have chosen such a large team."
