Snooker legends Steve Davis and Jimmy White were among those to learn their opponents after the draw for the qualifying rounds of the Betfred World Championship was made on Monday.
Six-time world champion Davis joined Whirlwind White in the hat while former world No 1 Ding Junhui is taking part for the first time since 2007 after dropping out of the world's top 16 last week.
All players will need to win three matches to earn one of 16 places available in the final stages at the Crucible Theatre which starts on Saturday, April 16 where Stuart Bingham will be defending his crown.
Davis, 58, won the last of his six world titles in 1989 and he comes up against against 1999 quarter-finalist Fergal O'Brien.
Six-time finalist Whirlwind White will take on Gerard Greene while China's Ding meets Cork potter Greg Casey in the opening round.
Ng On Yee from Hong Kong, the 2015 Ladies world champion, will face Peter Lines, the resident pro at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds where On Yee is currently trying to defend her world crown.
The qualifiers run from Wednesday, April 6, until April 13, at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
