Dennis Smith Jr showed he can rock the rim ahead of next weekend's All-Star Dunk Contest with an athletic 360 breakaway slam as the New York Knicks lost to the Detroit Pistons.
Dennis Smith Jr recorded a career-high 31 points the Knicks, shooting 9-for-15 from the field, including 2-of-5 from three-point land, and added a team-high eight assists.

His highlight of the night came with 7:18 left in the third quarter as he intercepted a Blake Griffin pass at the Knicks' three-point line then switched on the burners to accelerate away from Pistons guard Reggie Jackson.

Smith Jr reached the Pistons paint with no defenders near him and, with time on his side, showed off the finishing flair that has made him the favourite for Dunk Contest victory at All-Star Weekend, spinning 360 degrees in mid-air before powering home a slam.
