Karl Burke is to test Quiet Reflection over six furlongs in the hope she can develop into contender for the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

The filly's only defeat in four starts as a two-year-old was at that distance when she was fifth behind Besharah in the Lowther Stakes at York.

Her three wins came over the minimum trip, beginning with a maiden success followed by a Listed victory in Ayr's Harry Rosebery Stakes and the Group Three Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket in October.

Burke has pencilled in a race at Chantilly in April as a starting point for the daughter of Showcasing.

"Quiet Reflection will go to France, probably. There's a race at Chantilly in the middle of April," said the North Yorkshire trainer.

"We'll start her off over six there and if she gets that trip, which I think she will, we'll take it from there. The Commonwealth Cup is high on the list of early season targets."
