Talaayeb could drop back in trip for Friday's Sky Bet City Of York Stakes at York.
With soft ground ruling this year's 1000 Guineas fourth out of appearances at Glorious Goodwood and Haydock, trainer Owen Burrows will now aim the daughter of Dansili at the seven-furlong Group Three as she tries to bounce back to her best.
The three-year-old won over that distance on her debut last September and will be switching back down in trip after disappointing over 10 furlongs in a Listed contest at Newbury on her latest start.
The Lambourn handler said: " We've had a nightmare with her. I wanted to run her in the Oak Tree at Goodwood, but the ground was too soft. The plan was then to run in the Dick Hern at Haydock, but the ground was too soft again.
"The plan, touch wood, providing the ground is suitable, is to go to York and run her in the City Of York Stakes.
