Jonjo O'Neill hopes a return to better ground in the spring can help revive the fortunes of More Of That.

The 2014 World Hurdle winner has failed to inspire in three starts over fences this year, including on his most recent outing when well beaten in a three-runner graduation chase won by Gold Cup contender Coney Island at Ascot.

O'Neill said: "We we will wait until the spring with him, as there will be better ground for him then. He is in good form at home.

"There are quite a few races we have in mind for him. We are not making any plans with him, when we think it is right we will go. We are not going to call it a day yet."

One thing the Jackdaws Castle handler has ruled out for the JP McManus-owned 10 year old, who finished sixth in last year's Gold Cup, is a return to the cross-country fences at Cheltenham after pulling up over them on his penultimate start.

O'Neill added: "He didn't like the cross-country fences and I don't think that is his game.

"It was worth a try, though, as if he'd took to it he would be a different gear to the rest."
