Willie McCreery has not yet decided whether to let Liquid Amber line up in the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh.

The American-bred filly was an impressive winner of the Group Three Flame Of Tara Stakes at the Curragh last August and was thrown in at the deep end on her seasonal reappearance in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Although ultimately well beaten in eighth place, Liquid Amber is expected to progress from the run and McCreery is mulling whether to run in the Irish Guineas or step her up in trip.

He said: "Liquid Amber came out of Newmarket well. She looks grand and only lost 3 kilos on the trip.

"I'm not sure if she'll go for the Irish Guineas as I'd like to go further. Everything happened quickly over there, and everything was happening over on the far side of the track.

"Billy (Lee) said when he asked her to quicken it was the wrong time as she was going downhill and she didn't know what she was doing. The last furlong she was staying on again.

"What I liked was she did everything well except the last 10 minutes before the race as it was 26 degrees and she just got a bit worked up."
