Murphy had a suspected broken wrist following his tumble from Ifandbutwhynot at the final flight in the QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle, and later confirmed he had broken bones in hand.
Murphy tweeted: "Couple of broken bones in hand."
It meant Murphy could not bid to win the Coral Scottish Grand National for the second year running. His intended mount on the favourite, Rival D'Estruval, was taken by Richie McGrath but the horse was pulled up.
Scudamore was concussed after being unshipped from Problema Tic at the second fence in the big race. He went to hospital to be checked over.
Scudamore had been in the winner's enclosure after the previous race when steering Conquisto to victory for trainer Steve Gollings in the Scotty Brand Handicap Chase.
Scudamore's father, Peter, tweeted: "Tom seems ok we are going to pick him up later from the hospital."
