Brian Meehan’s three-year-old Bushranger colt, Faithful Creek, is ready to run in Saturday’s $2m UAE Derby at Meydan.
Owned by Decadent Racing, connections are delighted by his preparation and are looking forward to another big run from the colt who ran fifth, beaten just under three lengths, in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
Flown to Dubai last Saturday, the colt has settled well and several of the syndicate owners will be joining him at Meydan.
Faithful Creek has just an Epsom maiden win to his name from seven starts but was Listed placed in France as well as finishing third of seven behind John F Kennedy in a Leopardstown Group Three.
Syndicate manager Sam Sangster said: "Kieren (Fallon) did a great job for us in Santa Anita last year and the horse has improved for a winter on his back.
"They are a great team, with a very good draw from stall five and hopefully we will have a big run this weekend."
