Windhoek will try to give 5lb to all five of his opponents when going for Group Three success in the Betfair Huxley Stakes at Chester on Thursday.
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained five-year-old has to carry a penalty for winning the Group Two Anatolia Trophy in Turkey on his final start of the last campaign.
Windhoek is owned by Godolphin, whose blue colours will also be carried by the John Gosden-trained Maverick Wave.
Cannock Chase, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, will attempt to return to winning ways after failing to take his successful spree to four when third to Western Hymn in Sandown's Gordon Richards Stakes two weeks ago on his first start for 10 months.
Air Pilot, a Listed winner at Newmarket in the autumn for Ralph Beckett, takes his chance while the line-up is completed by Richard Fahey's Lincoln winner Gabrial, Jeremy Noseda's Grandeur and Fattsota, trained by David O'Meara.
