Nottingham Forest 'legends' from over half a century are to be celebrated at a momentous evening meeting at Nottingham Racecourse next Monday.

City Ground stars from the 1950s onwards will be at Colwick Park for the Nottingham Forest ‘Legends’ Raceday, so racing and football fans will be able to see some of the men who graced soccer stadiums in Britain and overseas during Forest’s most memorable days.

Furthermore, Forest fans wearing their colours can get admission to the evening for just £10 - with accompanied under 18s entering free of charge.

The six ‘Legends’ after whom each of the races is named are Jeff Whitefoot, Ian Storey-Moore, Kenny Burns, Gary Birtles, John Robertson and Des Walker, who played 59 times for England.

James Knox, the racecourse General Manager, said: "The inaugural Forest ‘Legends’ Raceday will be a fun evening where our two sports are brought together in a relaxed and enjoyable manner.
