Heartache leaves Happy Like A Fool trailing in her wake at Royal Ascot
Happy Like A Fool will attempt to go one better than at Royal Ascot when she steps up in trip for the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes at York on Thursday.
After having missed the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood due to soft ground, the Wesley Ward-trained daughter of Distorted Humour will bid to put her Queen Mary defeat behind her when tackling six furlongs for the first time in the Group Two.
Madeline won a Listed race at Newbury last time and has been declared by Roger Varian, while Aidan O'Brien will rely upon Actress as he seeks a first triumph in the Lowther.
There is further Irish interest in the form of the Ken Condon-trained Mamba Noire.
Threading, from the yard of Mark Johnston, and the William Haggas-trained Special Purpose will put unbeaten records on the line.
The field is completed by Natural (Richard Hannon), Neola (Mick Channon) and So Hi Society (Archie Watson).
