      Verdict

KINGBROOK looked in need of experience at Haydock but stayed on nicely when getting the message and looks certain to go well so gets the vote. Manigordo will have come on a bundle for his run at Newmarket while Miss Villanelle may not have appreciated Tapeta at Wolverhampton after a better run at Goodwood. Zulu Girl didn't show the expected improvement at Newbury after a promising start at Kempton and the remainder with experience will need to make major progress. Nothing really stands out in the newcomers though Michael Bell won the race last year and Clever Candy should have plenty of pace.
