Junior won this a year ago from a 10lb lower mark and has since been in superb form over hurdles and fences, landing the Fulke Walwyn/Kim Muir at Cheltenham in the easiest of fashion. He's likely to be thereabouts despite his huge weight. Tyrrells Wood arrived here a year ago in very good form but was firmly put in his place and hasn't run since. Rattan has been steadily improving over timber and is at the right end of the handicap to make his presence felt. He'll be at home on soft ground and his current rating was achieved when racing over a mile in the UK.
