      Verdict

Junior won this a year ago from a 10lb lower mark and has since been in superb form over hurdles and fences, landing the Fulke Walwyn/Kim Muir at Cheltenham in the easiest of fashion. He's likely to be thereabouts despite his huge weight. Tyrrells Wood arrived here a year ago in very good form but was firmly put in his place and hasn't run since. La Estrella has won 13 times on the all-weather, the last six on Fibresand at Southwell. However, this is very diferent from the class she has been competing in. The lightly-raced ZIGATO stepped up to two miles for the first time on this track last month and came from a very unpromising position to catch Ermyn Lodge and win going away. He's been raised 6lb for that but it doesn't look enough to halt his progress and he can take this. Veiled is a powerful stayer who will take some beating judged on his recent victory over 1m6f at Newmarket. Nicky Henderson's charge landed a Listed handicap over hurdles at Chetenham in April and Kieren Fallon is certain to make it a real test of stamina. Rattan has been steadily improving over timber and is at the right end of the handicap to make his presence felt. He'll be at home on soft ground and his current rating was achieved when racing over a mile in the UK.
