Verdict

Seismic Spirit was narrowly beaten at Churchill Downs on his debut and Wesley Ward’s charge will likely set a furious pace on his side of the draw. But he’ll also provide a target for Aidan O’Brien’s LITTLE BIG BEAR to aim at and the latter takes his chance in this rather than the tougher Group 2 Norfolk Stakes later in the week having won with plenty to spare at Naas. He’s preferred to compatriot Wodao but Bolt Action made an impressive debut at Leicester and can figure while Far Shot scored in the soft ground at Yarmouth just last week. Chateau won a conditions race at Beverley and can confirm running with Whistle And Flute, who represents last year’s winning yard, while the unbeaten pair Union Court and Knebworth are others that could go well.
