Verdict

Aidan O’Brien has farmed this Group 2 down the years with some smart juveniles. He has four runners this year with Ryan Moore’s presence on board Arizona, who easily beat stable companion King Of Athens at the Curragh, suggesting he is the pick of the quartet. Richard Hannon’s stable has also enjoyed plenty of success in the contest and Threat made a winning start at Newmarket when hinting that an extra furlong would suit. Light Angel had subsequent winner Golden Horde in fourth when successful at Newbury and Maxi Boy is held in high regard. Monoski easily landed the odds at Pontefract but there was a lot to like about GUILDSMAN’s debut victory at Goodwood. Despite being hampered at the start, he recorded a fast time and did it easily – his yard’s juveniles have been carrying all before them.
