      Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute has plundered many an Ascot handicap in the past and he looks to have a live contender here with Cliche, who can get the better of Truly Enchanting and Alderney. This lightly raced filly took on some top performers last season and lost her maiden tag on her reappearance, when comfortably beating the 102 rated Siamese Cat. If you take that form literally she is very well treated today off a mark of 99. She is open to any amount of improvement and can win this Listed handicap before moving onto group company. Truly Enchanting is progressing very nicely up the ranks and there was alot to like about her recent handicap victory at Nottingham. She still looks on a fair mark and has to be respected. Alderney has taken time to come to hand this season but is quite well treated and if bouncing back to her best she will be a major threat. Many Others are in with a shout including the Barry Hills pair Hollow Ridge and Folly Lodge. However Mr Stoute looks to have a rising star on hands with Cliche, who is given a confident vote.
