In depth

Verdict

SHADY MCCOY is on a long losing run but has been placed in better races than this since last successful and, with Serena Brotherton in the saddle, can take advantage of a lenient mark having run well at Sandown on Wednesday. Normandy Barriere will be hoping to make it third-time lucky having already finished runner-up twice in this race under Joanna Mason. Lyndon B won at Leicester nine days ago and will be a danger if the visor works a second time while Redarna and Emma Sayer were only beaten a length off this mark at Chester earlier in the month. Despite a couple of wins at Epsom this month, Big Storm Coming still isn’t badly treated and can’t be left out of calculations.
