    Verdict

DARK JEDI was no match for Kuwait Currency at Salisbury last time but that was a Listed race. The third ran well at Doncaster last week and his debut success at Ffos Las has been franked so he’s the one to beat here, despite the penalty. George Mallory showed definite signs of promise at York and, granted normal progress, will be hard to keep out of the frame. Takumi and Arctic Fox will be qualified for handicaps after this, however, and Bullion Boss is even more exposed. Lariat was still beaten almost seven lengths when third at a murky Goodwood and will need to improve on that if he is to win races.
