Gendarme has been in fine form at Bath but found one too good at that track last week having won his penultimate start. He should figure again but MAKAMBE is back on a winning mark and is edging closer. Paul Howling’s charge was beaten only a length at Doncaster last time and it could be his turn once again. King Of The Sand wasn’t beaten far when only fifth over 1m2f at Lingfield though has yet to race over this far on the Flat while Highland Sky’s victory on the Turf track at Lingfield last summer came over 1m6f. Roy Rocket does all his winning here but has been nowhere near his best so far this year.
