BLACK CASPIAN was beaten five lengths when runner-up at Haydock last time. But the form looks better in hindsight given the winner went on to finish second in the Group 2 Gimcrack at York and Kevin Ryan’s colt should find this easier. Alix James has failed to build on a debut effort here when beaten less than a length while Panic Room, Magic Timing and Solemn Pledge have all been placed without looking like winning. King Fan, Alben Spirit and Lampang are all newcomers to note.
