METAL MAN (NAP), a dual hurdling winner for Gordon Elliott, has been a steady improver since joining Rebecca Menzies. Placed on both starts for new connections, he'll stay this trip well - he's a winner over 3m1f over timber - and soft ground will not inconvenience the son of Australia. The Resdev Way is not that easy to catch right but is useful at this level on his day, has won here in the past and Jason Hart is an interesting booking. Niven is fully exposed and hasn't hit the winners enclosure on the Flat 2016, but he did shape quite nicely on return from a break last time and is an each-way option. Globetrotter disappointed last time but has a shout at his best.
