Verdict
Weebill has only had six starts over timber and is beginning to show his true form, winning a novices' hurdle with plenty in hand at Ayr. He's making his handicap debut and could be well treated while Sweet Home Chicago has started to make his mark and completed a double when scoring at Galway though his path was eased when the odds-on Wicklow Brave was an early faller. Vieux Lion Rouge is much better known for his exploits over the Aintree fences though goes particularly well fresh and is on a lower mark over hurdles. Tom Scudamore rides him rather than the stable's Dell' Arca, who won on the Flat in August, and he's the regular partner of FIRST ASSIGNMENT (NAP). Ian Williams' charge came with a late rattle to snatch the spoils over 2m5f here last month and with the longer trip certain to suit Tom O'Brien can steer him home. Boyhood easily landed a handicap here on New Year's Day though that was on heavy going while The Eaglehaslanded hasn't had much racing for his age and is the type to make progress this winter.
