Verdict

HEANEY arrives on a hat-trick after victories at Bellewstown and Gowran. He is possibly still a step ahead of the handicapper and can make the most of his proven fitness here with a few of these returning from a break. Wiffy Chatsby has to be of interest near the foot of the weights on his handicap debut, however, while Secret Tune had a spin on the Flat last month and has always promised to stay this trip. Red Not Blue and Akbabend are others arriving at the top of their game while Fox Appeal, Sivola De Sivola and Atlanta Falcon enjoyed success last season but like American Spin, winner of a valuable handicap at Haydock in May ahead of Howizee, may just need this. Cockney Trucker usually goes well here but regular partner Dickie Johnson rides Philip Hobbs' other runner, So Fine, today.
