Verdict

La Pantera Rosa was completing a hat-trick when edging out Sparkling Tara at Sedgefield and deserves a try at this higher level, though is on a career-high mark now. Iheardhu is a C&D winner and was well backed at Plumpton last month. He also has a very experienced amateur on board, as does the in-form Romanesco. Round Tom shouldn't be far away again while Nina Carberry has travelled over to ride Jewel Of The West for Dessie Hughes and Hunters Lodge won on his chase debut at Market Rasen. Calusa Caldera returned to winning ways at Worcester and neither Talab nor Wide Receiver can be ignored but the latter's trainer, Charlie Longsdon, also runs TIME FOR SPRING, who gets the nod. He stopped very quickly on the home turn when favourite on his return at Stratford but that run should have blown away any cobwebs and he should give Sam Waley-Cohen a good ride here.
