Placed on his last five starts, Angel Gabrial is passed over though still preferred to stablemate Gabrial's King. The latter finished behind fourth-placed Good Time Ahead here last time. Faithful Mount was beaten less than a length over track and trip a fortnight ago with ALWAYS RESOLUTE in close attendance. But the latter didn’t get the best of runs on that occasion and Brian Ellison’s charge gets the vote to reverse running with an apprentice’s allowance also helping his cause today. Al Destoor ran well here on his penultimate start and Marengo won at the track when last in action back in 2016.
