Verdict

It's very rare for Mick Easterby to be sending a runner to Ireland so the presence of AETNA (NAP) is greatly respected. She reappeared a year ago to score at Newcastle and ended the campaign landing a Listed contest at Doncaster on heavy going so the more rain the better. After scoring at Naas last April, Gathering Power was campaigned at a high level and was never disgraced though she looked just short of this level. Flight Risk's only victory came over a mile but he'd shown good pace over this trip at the Curragh earlier and Jim Bolger wouldn't have him entered here unless he though he had enough speed.
