In depth

Verdict

The filly Lil Grey, who has a very speedy pedigree, made a very promising debut behind Mohican Heights at Leopardstown, when War Leader was around 6l behind. The latter's yard is also represented by Year Of The Tiger, by Galileo out of a Cheveley Park winner, and Royal County Down, from the first crop of Gleneagles and a half-brother to four winners. ALLIGATOR ALLEY was well supported on his debut here and though unable to match strides with Sunday Sovereign it was a very hot maiden and he can make the experience count. The remaining trio all have nice pedigrees and the market is best watched for clues.
